knitter-switch has added to its SSP series of sub-miniature pushbutton switches with the introduction of a new switch designed specifically for use with mobile multimedia devices, portable medical devices and a variety of test and measuring instruments.
The SSP 129T is a large-travel alternative to existing tactile switches having usually a travel of only 0.25mm and fits the pcb layout of the knitter-switch TSS309/TSS310 series tactile switches. With a footprint of just 7mm x 3mm and a long travel of 1.6mm, the new switch is a surface mountable device supplied in T/R packing for automatic pick and place systems.

Available with normally open and momentary switching functions, the SSP 129T provides a lifetime of 100,000 cycles and incorporates a gold plated contact plate for the reliable switching of smaller currents
