Chipset specific integrated passive devices for IoT
For the next generation of low-cost, battery operated, wireless IoT products, the design goal is to provide RF signal range and stability, while also reducing power consumption, in a miniaturised package. As a result, RF chipset manufacturers are increasingly fine-tuning and improving their products, Johanson Technology has released a chipset specific integrated passive device designed to do just this.
Ferrite chip beads for automotive applications
Murata has announced the release of the BLM18KN_EH series of ferrite chip beads for noise suppression in power lines at temperatures up to 175°C. Target applications are automotive equipment such as engine and transmission electronic control units (ECUs) and turbo motor controllers, with the components meeting AEC-Q200 qualification requirements.
Automotive grade capacitors offer long life of 6000 hours
A new series of low impedance, Automotive Grade miniature aluminium electrolytic capacitors that combine high ripple currents up to 3.36 A with high temperature operation to +125 °C and very long useful life of 6,000 h at 125 °C has been released by The Optoelectronics group of Vishay Intertechnology.
Stackpole adds 5ppm capability to MELF resistors
Modern electronics have become more complex and their requirements more precise. For those applications that require low TCR, good pulse handling and low self-heating, a MELF resistor is often the best choice.
Microwave resistors boosted up to 70 GHz
Broadband Microwave Global Models for Vishay Sfernice CH series resistors in the 02016, 0402, and 0603 case sizes have been released by Vishay Intertechnology.
Hybrid aluminium polymer capacitor for automotive
KEMET has announced the launch of three hybrid aluminium polymer capacitor series: A780, PHA225, and PHH225. These AEC-Q200 qualified capacitors offer a combination of highly conductive polymer technology and liquid electrolytic material in a hybrid design, resulting in outstanding electrical performance for automotive and industrial applications.
Stackpole NWWP non-inductive anti-surge wirewounds
Stackpole has released the NWWP series axial leaded wirewounds that provide good anti-surge characteristics in a non-inductively wound design. The Ayrton-Perry winding greatly reduces inductance to a fraction of what a standard winding would provide while the robust wire design maximises element mass for exceptional energy handling.
MFC resistors enhance reliability
Metal Foil Chip (MFC) resistors from TT Electronics use metal foil on ceramic technology, which combines the heat spreading properties of a ceramic substrate with the surge tolerance of a bulk metal alloy resistance element.
Electrolytic capacitors meet low profile filtering applications
United Chemi-Con’s newest SMD Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor are in stock at distributor New Yorker Electronics.
3.5W rated CSRT2512-UP current sense chip resistor
Power supplies and power controls have a wide range of sensing requirements. For applications that require high sensing precision and high power where the element TCR is more important than low resistance values, the CSRT2512-UP offers a 3.5W rated current sense chip resistor in a package that normally only allows for one or two watts.
