Photon counting modules

LASER COMPONENTS produces single photon counting modules that combine high quantum efficiency, a wide dynamic range, and user-friendly operation.

At the core of these devices lies the ultra-low noise VloK silicon avalanche photodiode, coupled with specially designed quenching and signal processing electronics to form an all-in-one solution.

Incoming photons are converted into corresponding electrical pulses, outputting via TTL for straightforward data acquisition. The gating function allows the module to be disabled between measurements to prevent overload. Additionally, we offer both free space and FC connector versions.

These modules are typically utilised in single molecule analysis, confocal microscopy, fluorescence imaging, and LiDAR. More recently, they have become increasingly significant in quantum research.
