LASER COMPONENTS began producing optical coatings in house in 1986 with our first E-beam chamber and have been constantly developing and optimising ever since, adding Ion Assisted Deposition (IAD) and Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) technologies to its portfolio.

Our large IAD and IBS chambers are well suited to producing large aperture optics with the highest damage thresholds.

Online process monitoring and specially developed compensation coatings ensure high coating homogeneity <1% over 380mm diameter and exceptional flatness values. Compact coating layers and low moisture content ensure optimal laser damage threshold values and no thermal drift. LIDT testing is offered in house and in partnership with globally recognised test houses.

We specialise in the design and manufacture of custom optical coatings to meet the requirements of demanding specialist applications. Our engineers would be happy to discuss solutions to any large area optical coating requirements.
