Following on from the successful release of the HT66Fxx Enhanced Flash A/D type MCU, Holtek is now further releasing its new additions to the device range in the form of the HT66F60A/70A, HT66FB60A/70A and HT66FU60A/70A.
In addition to including all the original functions of the previous series, the program memory of the HT66FBxxA series with USB interface and the HT66FUxxA series with UART interface will be expanded to 32K words. The device range is suitable for applications such as household appliances, instrumentation products, industrial control, health products, exercise equipment etc.

The HT66FxxA series is composed of six devices encompassing a full range of multiple functions. These include 16K/32K words of Flash Program Memory, 1024/2048 bytes of Data Memory, 128 bytes of Data EEPROM and 16 stack levels. Regarding peripheral functions, all devices contain an internal 12-bit high speed analog to digital converter to measure external environmental signals from sensors such as temperature, humidity etc. An internal comparator and two independent SPI and SPI/I2C interfaces or USB/UART interfaces are also included while the whole series use Holtek’s new Timer Modules which offer five different timer operating modes. These operating modes are Input Capture, Compare Match Output, Timer/Event Counter, Single Pulse Output and PWM output. Their IAP function not only can use program space for storing data, but can also implement program updates. These features combine to offer a device series that can implement a full MCU system with a minimum of external components.

Holtek also fully supports these devices with its comprehensive hardware and software development tools. Known as the HT-IDE3000, these development tools provide features such as real time emulation, memory and register access, hardware breakpoints complete with logical setups, full trace analysis etc. This range of development tools ensure that designers have all the resources at hand to provide for rapid and efficient design and debug of their microcontroller based new product applications.
