The ABSW kHz SMD crystal range from Abracon is available in four different ceramic package options which are all seam sealed for improved long term reliability.

They are in stock at distributor Anglia Components.

The ABS04W series is claimed to be the industry’s smallest Tuning Fork Crystal measuring just 1.20 x 1.00 x 0.35 mm.

Next size up is the ABS05W series measuring 1.6 x 1.0 x 0.5 mm, then the ABS06W series measures 2.0 x 1.2 x 0.6 mm and finally the ABS07W series measuring 3.2 x 1.5 x 0.9 mm. The compact sizes available enable the ABSW to be integrated into space constrained applications such as wearables or compact IoT sensor nodes.

The two key features of the ABSW series are low load capacitance of just 3pF or 4pF (depending on series) and low ESR over the temperature range of the crystals.

Offered in 32.768kHz frequency throughout, the ABSW series are available in frequency tolerances down to ±10 ppm for the ABS07W series and down to ±20 ppm for all other series, typical frequency stability is also very good over the specified temperature range for each series.

A choice of operating temperature up to +125°C is available on ABS05W/06W/07W and up to +105°C on ABS04W series.

The ABSW series are supplied on tape and reel packaging suitable for automated placement equipment. Typical applications include Wellness and Medical Wearables, Bluetooth and ISM band Wireless Modules, Internet of Things (IoT), Sensor Nodes, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Connectivity, Near Field Communication (NFC), Ultra low power, energy saving MCU and Energy Harvesting Devices.
