The SafeTkit XC2000 is based on the PRO-SIL™ safety products from Infineon and is in an easy-to-configure and easy-to-use format. In addition to an evaluation board with the CIC61508 safety monitor chip, the kit comprises a software package with selftest libraries and development tools. Also a demo application with a typical configuration for selftests is included which is continuously monitoring the system’s behavior. If the SafeTkit XC2000 is used in combination with the Tantino MCDS also processor internal operation can be monitored without interrupting the program. This provides a powerful plattform for the quick and efficient development of safety-critical applications.
Development kit for functional safety in XC2000 designs
After the successful SafeTkit for TriCore awarded with the Embedded Award 2011, Hitex Development Tools now presents the SafeTkit for XC2000. The 16-bit SafeTkit XC2000 is a complete development package for designs based on Infineon’s XC2000 architecture. It contains all components enabling the developer to prepare his application for a quick and secure certification process according to IEC 61508 or ISO 26262.
