RiskCAT for ISO/FDIS 26262

The latest version V6.2f of RiskCAT supports the FDIS (Final Draft International Standard) of the automotive standard ISO 26262. RiskCAT helps the user to cope with this standard. For instance, all measures of this standard can be listed, which have at a given ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Level) the obligation “highly recommended”. Furthermore, for instance, all measures related to a given keyword or a given work product can be selected.

The FDIS was released officially in April 2011 and replaces the hitherto draft (DIS – Draft International Standard). Because the standard 26262 is a derivation of the general standard IEC 61508 for safety-related electronic systems, RiskCAT also disposes of an (optional) comparison module, which highlights the differences resp. equalities of the two standards.

RiskCAT features (optional) interfaces to requirement management tools like DOORS. Therefore, a catalogue of measures to be enforced for the development of a safety-related electronic system which was worked out using RiskCAT can form the basis of the requirements for the project.

RiskCAT is available from Hitex Development Tools GmbH.
