Guaranteed to still be in production until 2016, the new ICOP-6150 single board computer from Datasound Laboratories is based on the latest Vortex86SX CPU, providing 300MHz of processing power in a compact, 90 x 96mm industry standard package.
The ICOP-6150 gives engineers the opportunity to explore applications previously limited (by both financial and power constraints) to low level microcontrollers, because of it's consumption of only 300mA from a single +5V DC supply.

Opening up applications previously restricted to non x86 architectures, the Vortex86SX range allows deployments in digital signage, automation, medical and all other types of common industry applications using familiar x86 tools - even providing full colour graphics if desired at a fraction of the previous market average cost.

The module satisfies all modern requirements including 10/100 LAN, USB 2.0, RS-232/485 and onboard 16-Bit GPIO. Utilising the latest DDR 2 RAM, the Vortex86SX range provides memory performance equivalent to modern day desktops!

For ultimate fit and forget reliability, the units incorporate both a programmable watchdog timer, and a redundancy feature where two identical boards can be linked together, providing fail safe backups for applications requiring the ultimate reliability.

All the Vortex86 range operate reliably, even at the worst temperature extremes, with the ICOP 6150 itself offering full -40°c - +85°c industrial temperature range.
