RF Transceivers Advance Design And Deployment of Small 4G Base Stations
Analog Devices is adding to its broad RF portfolio with the announcement today of new integrated RF-to-digital baseband transceivers. The AD9356 and AD9357 integrated transceivers advance low-cost base-station designs and deployments for 4G technology, such as WiMAX and LTE (long term evolution). The deployment of WiMAX continues in both developed and developing nations to provide last-mile connectivity and wireless backhaul channels. As a result...
NEC Electronics Claims First USB 3.0 Host Controller
NEC Electronics has introduced what it says is the world’s first USB host controller for the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 standard. NEC Electronics expects rapid adoption of the device and standard as the need to transfer larger and larger amounts of information between PCs to external hard-drives, portable electronics devices, and flash-based thumb drives, continues to grow rapidly.
Bulk Metal Foil Ultra-High-Precision Accutrim Trimming Potentiometers from Vishay
Vishay has announced a new series of Bulk Metal Foil ultra-high-precision Accutrim trimming potentiometers, approved 1-¼ in. rectilinear RJ12 style, designed to meet and exceed the requirements of MIL-PRF-22097 Char. F. For precise adjustment, the devices offer low end-to-end TCR of ± 10 ppm/°C from − 55 °C to + 150 °C, + 25 °C ref., and ± 25 ppm/°C through the wiper, load life stability of 0.1 % typical under full rated power at + ...
Industrial Routers are Amplicon’s next step in Industrial Ethernet
Amplicon has recently launched the DX series of Industrial Routers to extend its range of IP based industrial networking solutions. Amplicon's range of Industrial Routers provide a highly reliable and rugged layer 3 networking solution for Substation Automation, Transport, Marine, Military and many other mission-critical applications.
256-Tap Digital Potentiometer with I2C Interface and Integrated EEPROM
ON Semiconductor has added a new 256-tap, single-channel linear-taper device to its extensive family of Digitally Programmable Potentiometers (DPP). The CAT5140 digital potentiometer is a low-noise, reliable and space-saving alternative to DACs and mechanical potentiometers. It features an on-chip, 8-bit, non-volatile EEPROM memory, which allows designers to calibrate once and retain the wiper setting in memory on power-up. The new DPP also provi...
8-channel quadrature encoder module from Measurement Computing
Measurement Computing has announced the release of a high-speed, eight-channel quadrature encoder module that outperforms everything else on the market. The high-performance USB-QUAD08 data acquisition device provides simultaneous input and decoding for up to eight incremental quadrature encoders at resolution up to 48-bits.
USB high-accuracy digital signal conditioning amplifier for strain gauge devices
The DSCUSB, a compact, high performance, strain gauge digital signal conditioner with USB connectivity aimed at many applications, providing high-accuracy measurement repeatability, is now available from Celsum Technologies. A rugged metal enclosure makes the device suitable for many environments. Simply by plugging the device into a PC, data can be read in engineering units from most strain gauge bridge sensors such as load cells, accelerometers...
