The AMP NETCONNECT XGA copper system has been improved by the introduction of two new key components. The AMP-TWIST 6AS SL Jack combines easy and quick termination with the highest transmission performance and the new line of XGA copper patch cords, delivering performance beyond 600 MHz.
The AMP-TWIST 6AS SL Jack is the next generation of Category 6A connecting hardware and is fully compliant to the new component definitions in the upcoming ISO/IEC 11801 cabling standard. The new jack, when connected to the new XGA copper patch cords, achieves outstanding connection performance, resulting in superior short link capabilities (< 2 m), which is an important feature for modern data center design.

The AMP NETCONNECT XGA fiber system cable range has been expanded by adding a complete set of cable containing OM4 fiber in order to meet additional length or cross-connect requirements in data centers and building backbones. Tyco Electronics' OM4 based fiber optic cable meets the new upcoming specifications of the international ISO/IEC 11801 cabling standard. OM4 fiber cables offer the highest laser bandwidth in order to meet today's and tomorrow's high speed applications and are backward compatible to all existing applications and fiber definitions. They are optimized for use with cost effective 850 nm VCSELs and offer extended link lengths for many applications like 10 Gigabit Ethernet (550 m).
