Hirose, a specialist in the development of innovative connector solutions, has expanded its DF60 Series to include a rugged right-angle crimp socket that offers design flexibility and space-savings in demanding, power-hungry applications.

Enabling a compact design, the right-angle DF60FS Series crimp socket has a pitch of only 10.16mm and does not require extra room for cable routing.

Part of the EnerBee power connector family, the robust DF60FS wire-to-board connector supports applications requiring current ratings up to 65A. Designed for power-dense environments such as data centres, industrial machinery, and renewable energy systems, the DF60FS maintains reliable power connections, even in harsh environments prone to shock and vibration.

Providing secure mating with a clear tactile click, the DF60 Series utilises a highly reliable five-point contact with independent contact springs to ensure reliable and secure connectivity in extreme environments. The DF60FS Series design also offers finger-safe electric shock prevention.

The DF60FS Series connectors accept AWG #8 to #12 cables, with two keying variations available.

“Hirose continues to expand our already broad EnerBee connector portfolio to support demanding power environments,” said Pete Lais, Assistant Vice President of Product Management for Hirose Electric Americas. “The DF60FS combines design versatility with high contact reliability and high-power capability. The new power connector meets customer requests for a right-angle crimp socket version of this popular connector series.”

The DF60FS Series is available in two and three-position versions.

The connector is commonly used in industrial, medical, power conditioning, robotic, and telecom applications.

The DF60FS Series wire-to-board power connector has a rated voltage of 1,000V AC/DC and an operating temperature of –55oC to +105oC.
