These MIL-C 26482, 26 and 41 pin connectors are historically the connector of choice for the outside broadcast industry in the UK and are used in conjunction with 8 and 12 way 'STAR-QUAD' cables in audio multicore systems.
Now In2Connect and Bryant Broadcast offer a fully RoHS compliant version of these connectors, with a zinc cobalt black plating finish and heavy duty arctic grade ribbed coupling rings. Both the standard convention of cable-end male connector with locking ring to panel female receptacle with bayonet posts; and cable-end receptacle to mating panel mount plug are available. Both male and female panel mount versions have square mounting flanges.

Coming from well established military markets such as fighting vehicles and communications, these multiple contact connectors offer equipment designers a high quality, miniature, bayonet coupling connection with positive audible mate. They have solder contacts and when terminated in the proper manner are very resilient to hostile environments and the delicate fingers of outside broadcast riggers.

Bryant Broadcast manufacture multicore assemblies with 8 and 12 way star quad audio cable and a wide range of cable accessories. These assemblies are wired to the standard BBC pin out and the 26 pin versions are fully compatible with the older style 7 way star quad multicores.
