Featuring a system memory that supports up to 8GB of DDR3L, the PICO842 supports dual display outputs through HDMI or VGA, and 18/24-bit single/dual channel LVDS.
Mainboards feature the 100 series chipset from Intel
Fujitsu has announced the µATX boards of the Classic Desktop series and two boards with longer availability. All boards are equipped with the 100 series chipset from Intel, which supports the 6th Generation Intel Core processors. For the first time they support DDR4 memory. This brings a significant increase in performance. The Intel chipsets enable the use of the new generation’s more powerful CPUs while reducing power consumption.
ARM aligns With Microsoft Azure
Microsoft has certified the ARM mbed Enabled Freescale FRDM-K64F development board for IoT products that securely gather and channel data into the public cloud platform, Microsoft Azure. This is the first ARM mbed board tested and verified by Microsoft Azure Certified for IoT to support the Microsoft Azure IoT Suite. Microsoft Azure is an open, flexible and trusted cloud platform used by the majority of Fortune 500 companies.
IoT device kit features startup power of 1.2µW
The S6SAE101A solar-powered Internet of Things (IoT) device kit from Cypress Semiconductor is now being shipped by distributor Mouser Electronics. The kit provides an easy-to-use platform for the development of a solar-powered IoT device with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) wireless connectivity.
LED boards extend across RGB spectrum
The selection of high quality lighting solutions at Conrad Business Solutions has been extended with a new range of LED boards from Barthelme. Making use of Osram LEDs in a variety of different shapes and configurations, these new boards offer white tones extending across the RGB (red, green and blue) spectrum and with adjustable lumen output.
µQseven modules pack performance into tiny footprint
congatec is extending its product portfolio for the most popular Qseven standard by now offering COMs in the 40x70mm sub-credit-card µQseven format. The first flagship module of this next-gen mini form factor is the conga-UMX6 with ARM Cortex A9-based Freescale i.MX 6 processors. It caters to applications in harsh environments, which require compact low-power designs, appealing multimedia and computing performance.
PCIe board is based on Altera's Arria 10 FPGA & SoC
At the 2015 HPC for Wall Street - Cloud & Big Data Conference, BittWare announced the availability of the second board of its extensive family of products based on Altera's Arria 10 FPGAs and SoCs, a ¾-length PCIe board called the A10P3S.
USB-to-SDIO host IC brings microSD-compatibility to USB ports
An IC that converts a USB interface into an SDIO Host Interface, suited to SD or microSD cards has been launched by Saelig. The VUB300 is a single-chip USB-to-SDIO hardware bridge that allows SDIO- and SD-compliant devices to be connected to any host PC via its USB port. The VUB300 is the ideal solution when a target system has no spare SDIO ports but does have available USB ports.
Motherboards target IoT & mobile applications
Targeting energy-saving IoT and mobile applications, the N3000 Intel Pentium/Celeron family of motherboards has been introduced by DFI. Based on Intel’s new 14nm packing technology, the devices are able to deliver ultra-low power consumption and provide better computing and graphic performance compared to previous generations.
