Motherboards target IoT & mobile applications

Targeting energy-saving IoT and mobile applications, the N3000 Intel Pentium/Celeron family of motherboards has been introduced by DFI. Based on Intel’s new 14nm packing technology, the devices are able to deliver ultra-low power consumption and provide better computing and graphic performance compared to previous generations.

In order to meet the needs of diversified vertical markets, the company is utilising this highly integrated platform to offer a broad selection of form factors, including Thin Mini-ITX, COM Express and Qseven modules, 3.5” SBCs, and DFI’s first small 2.5” Pico-ITX.

The industrial-grade boards are equipped with enhanced Intel Gen 8 graphics which provides double the graphics throughput, improved media acceleration, and three independent displays with up to 4K resolution (3840×2160). Furthermore, the devices allow for higher data processing rates through improved I/O support, including a SATA 3.0 interface and up to four USB 3.0 ports.
