NVIDIA has unveiled its new GeForce RTX SUPER desktop GPUs that are set to enhance generative AI performance.

This announcement coincides with the release of new AI laptops from leading manufacturers and an array of new NVIDIA RTX-accelerated AI software and tools for developers and consumers.

With a legacy of over 100 million RTX GPUs in the market, NVIDIA is expanding its influence in the AI PC era. The new offerings include NVIDIA TensorRT acceleration for the Stable Diffusion XL model, enhancing text-to-image workflows, and NVIDIA RTX Remix featuring AI texture tools. Additionally, NVIDIA ACE microservices and more games utilising DLSS 3 technology with Frame Generation are part of this suite.

AI Workbench, a comprehensive toolkit for AI developers, is set for a beta release this month. NVIDIA is also introducing TensorRT-LLM (TRT-LLM), an open-source library that boosts the performance of large language models (LLMs) on PCs. Chat with RTX, another NVIDIA tech demo, will soon be available, allowing users to engage interactively with various content types.

“Generative AI is the single most significant platform transition in computing history and will transform every industry, including gaming,” said Jensen Huang, Founder, and CEO of NVIDIA. “With over 100 million RTX AI PCs and workstations, NVIDIA is a massive installed base for developers and gamers to enjoy the magic of generative AI.”

NVIDIA's new offerings are crucial for applications where privacy, latency, and cost are significant concerns. The broad base of AI-ready systems, coupled with precise developer tools, is essential for optimising AI models for the PC platform.

The GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series graphics cards, including models like the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, enhance AI video and image generation capabilities. These SUPER GPUs, with their Tensor Core performance, open new horizons in gaming, creativity, and productivity.

NVIDIA has also collaborated with top manufacturers to launch a new range of RTX AI laptops, offering powerful generative AI capabilities. These laptops are expected to be available for shipping this month.

Mobile workstations with RTX GPUs are compatible with NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, including TensorRT and NVIDIA RAPIDS, facilitating generative AI and data science development. Additionally, a three-year license for NVIDIA AI Enterprise is included with every NVIDIA A800 40GB Active GPU.

NVIDIA AI Workbench is a new tool for developers to create, test, and customise pretrained generative AI models and LLMs. It offers access to various repositories and a user-friendly interface for seamless project migration and scaling.

Collaborating with HP, NVIDIA aims to streamline AI model development by integrating NVIDIA AI Foundation Models and Endpoints into the HP AI Studio.

Developers can fine-tune AI models for PC applications using NVIDIA TensorRT, taking full advantage of RTX GPUs’ Tensor Cores.

In addition, NVIDIA is showcasing new generative AI-powered applications and services for PCs at CES, including NVIDIA RTX Remix for game remastering, NVIDIA ACE microservices, TensorRT acceleration for popular Stable Diffusion models, and DLSS 3 with Frame Generation in new RTX games.

The Chat with RTX tech demo, set for release this month, will demonstrate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities, also available as an open-source project for developers.

These innovations represent NVIDIA’s commitment to driving new experiences in the AI era, building on the vast array of AI-enabled PC applications and games already accelerated by NVIDIA RTX technology.
