Mouser Electronics, Inc., is now shipping the new Nesso N1 IoT development kit from Arduino. The Nesso N1 is a powerful, compact, and ready-to-go development kit that brings the full flexibility of the Arduino ecosystem to connected devices and remote monitoring for smart homes, edge computing nodes, industrial automation, wearable sensors, and environmental monitoring applications.

The Arduino Nesso N1 IoT development kit, available from Mouser, is equipped with the Espressif Systems ESP32-C61 Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 (LE) SoC microcontroller, a single-core 32-bit RISC-V CPU operating at up to 160MHz. A key advantage of the ESP32-C61 is its external PSRAM support, which provides greater software development flexibility, allowing larger data buffers, additional functionality, and future upgrades with less time spent on memory optimisation. Packaged in a compact, all-in-one IoT development kit, the Nesso N1 is designed for remote monitoring and automation applications and supports multiple wireless protocols. These protocols include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, Thread, and LoRa into a sleek, portable form factor with an integrated 1.14″ touch display and rechargeable 250mAh battery. The Nesso N1 Kit features 16 MB NOR Flash and 512 kB SRAM (providing ample memory for IoT applications), built-in sensors, including a 6-axis IMU, a passive buzzer, an infrared transmitter, and expansion capabilities via Grove, Qwiic, and M5StickC HAT-compatible connectors.

The kit can be programmed with the Arduino IDE, MicroPython, or UIFlow (2.0), and integrates seamlessly with Arduino Cloud for remote device management and data visualisation. Arduino Cloud offers tailored solutions to efficiently connect, control, and monitor IoT devices. Build and manage connected projects seamlessly with a wide range of compatible Arduino or ESP-based boards and support for third-party devices using Python, MicroPython, JavaScript, or Node-RED. Designed in collaboration with M5Stack, a leading provider of stackable IoT modules and developer-friendly tools, Nesso N1 is an ideal companion for building scalable prototypes or full-fledged connected solutions.
