The ICR-4171 and ICR-4271 industrial 5G routers and Internet of Things (IoT) gateways from Advantech are now being shipped by authorised distributor Mouser Electronics.
The advanced, industrial-grade routers deliver high performance, secure connectivity, and edge flexibility for demanding industrial, transportation, and automation environments. The ICR-4171 and ICR-4271 gateways support a range of applications, including smart manufacturing, power grid monitoring, remote monitoring, and emergency communications.
These 5G routers and IoT gateways are built on a powerful hardware platform featuring a 1.6GHz quad core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 2.9GB of internal space for customer applications. The ICR 4171/4271 family significantly reduces latency and offers exceptionally high data throughput, supporting 5G NR Sub 6GHz with 3GPP Release 16 (operating in both NSA and SA modes).
Designed for deployment flexibility, the ICR-4171 and ICR-4271 routers and gateways include dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, a USB 3.0 host, a GNSS receiver, and dual SIM slots. The ICR 4171/4271 routers can also adapt to a wide range of integration scenarios, with optional expansions including Wi Fi 6 (2×2 MIMO) and Bluetooth 5.2, as well as models featuring RS 232/RS 485 serial ports, digital inputs, and digital outputs.
The ICR-4171 and ICR-4271 incorporate security features, such as TPM 2.0, a tamper detect button, and software-based protections, to secure customer data and safeguard system integrity. The ICR 4171 and ICR-4271 also support secure VPN tunneling and extensive configuration options, plus offer intuitive web interfaces. The devices are compatible with Advantech’s cloud based WebAccess/DMP platform for easy deployment, centralised configuration, and firmware updates.
