Professor Clare Grey receives a Damehood for outstanding contributions to UK science
Nyobolt, pioneers of end-to-end fast-charging battery systems, has announced that Professor Clare Grey, Co-founder of Nyobolt, has been appointed as Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her services to science.
The appointment marks her extensive contributions to the battery industry and its pivotal role for a more sustainable world.
Dame Clare Grey FRSis a Royal Society (RS) Research Professor (Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge), a Principal Investigator at the Faraday Institution and winner of the KörberPrize (2021). Since the launch of lithium-ion batteries in the mid-1990s, Dame Clare Grey has devoted her career to enhancing energy systems and leading the charge towards a sustainable future for battery technologies. As a leader and a role model for many future scientists, this recognition of the highest accolade is a testament to the dedication that Dame Clare Grey has shown throughout her career.
