STMicro Q2 revenues surge

STMicroelectronics (ST) has reported second quarter net revenues of $3.84 billion an increase of 28 % year on year, and net income of $867 million.

Jean-Marc Chery, STMicroelectronics President & CEO, commented: “Q2 net revenues and gross margin came in above the mid-point of our business outlook range driven by strong demand for our product portfolio.”

First half revenues rose 22.9 % year on year. ST is looking at net revenues of $4.24 billion in Q3, up 32.6 % year on year.

Adds Chery, “We will now drove the company based on a plan for FY22 revenues in the range of $15.9 billion to $16.2 billion.

All product groups registered year on year increases in revenues.

Automotive and Discrete Group jumped 35.1% to $1.45 billion.

Microcontrollers and Digital ICs Group leapt 39.5 % to $1.25 billion.

Analog, MEMs and Sensors Group advanced 11.3 % to $1.13 billion
