embedded world North America is back for its third year, this time at the Anaheim Convention Centre in California from 22-24th September 2026. embedded world North America’s the parent event in Nuremberg, Germany, is the largest trade gathering for embedded engineers in the world, and the North American edition is building steadily towards that same status on its side of the Atlantic.

“The headline is, we’re creating the premier North American gathering for the embedded community. So this is going to be a focused, highly technical, highly practical event. And this is, of course, within the broader embedded world family, we’re designing this for the people who are building embedded products and platforms,” says Jason Hallstrom, Chair, embedded world North America Conference.

The event is expected to attract around 5,000 visitors, 250+ exhibitors, and 60 technical sessions, and is positioning itself as the annual fixture for anyone who builds, integrates, sources, or manages embedded technology.

The keynotes

The two headline speakers are Deepu Talla, Vice President of Robotics and Edge AI at NVIDIA, who will speak on the next evolution of embedded open platforms for autonomous agentic systems. The talk will cover AI deployed into physical machines – from humanoid robots and mobile platforms to intelligent video analytics and factory automation.

The second keynote comes from Fabio Violante, formerly CEO of Arduino and now VP and General Manager of Arduino at Qualcomm. His talk will explore AI-powered Edge computing, secure location-aware technologies including ultra-wideband, and Zephyr OS integration – with a particular focus on how open embedded platforms can serve everyone from makers and students through to industrial developers.

The Robotics Lab

The show’s new Robotics Lab is a hands-on, immersive activation area that walks attendees through the full arc of robotics development, from foundational embedded systems all the way to AI-driven autonomous machines. It’s divided into four zones covering embedded intelligence, AI and autonomy, human-machine interaction, and real-world vertical applications across automotive, aerospace and defence, medical devices, industrial automation, and emerging humanoid and service robots.

The show floor

As well as the Robotics Lab, the show also includes the Startup Zone, which highlights emerging companies making their mark in embedded and AI. The Exhibitor Forum, which offers short, sharp 10-minute presentations from exhibitors, followed by 5-minute Q&As. And across the wider floor, confirmed exhibitors include Altium, Green Hills Software, Microchip Technology, ST Microelectronics, Asus, and others, spanning design tools, connectivity modules, semiconductors, and manufacturing.

Networking

Networking opportunities will run throughout the event, with coffee break stations on the show floor. On the first evening, there will be a welcome reception that’s free for all full conference pass holders and exhibitors, held outdoors. For first-time attendees, there will also be a dedicated meetup, show floor tours, and session recommendations to help them find their feet.

The 2026 edition of embedded world North America is shaping up to be a significant step up for the event. If you’re a design engineer, firmware developer, product leader, or sourcing specialist, this September’s show could be well worth the trip.
