3rd Annual China Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Summit
Held from 26th to 27th March 2015 in Shanghai, the '3rd Annual China Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Summit' is now open for registration and sponsorship with early bird prices available.
Supported by the Chinese and local government, the EV market in China has experienced rapid growth this year. The Ministry of transportation have promoted the application of new energy vehicles in the transportation industry. By 2020, the total number of city buses, taxis and city logistics vehicles powered by electricity is expected to reach 300,000. Significantly improving efficiency and safety, new energy vehicles for urban transport use up to 20% less energy.
Correspondingly, local governments have launched policies to promote electric vehicles: they have released EV promotion targets, electric charging facility construction plans, EV subsidisation criteria, tax preference, plate policy and more. Infrastructure plays a key role in the process of EV adoption, accelerating the promotion and application of new energy vehicles. Government, both local and national, encourage the entire EV supply chain to take part in infrastructure construction. 4,000 EV charging station are planned to be constructed from 2011 to 2015, targeted to rise to 10,000 from 2016 to 2020. However, there have been obstacles during the construction of EV charging infrastructure. The slow adoption of EVs, and therefore the slow development of EV infrastructure, is partly due to the technology itself: production cost, battery life and storage capacity.
The '3rd Annual China Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Summit' provides a platform to keep up to date with the automotive industry, innovative business strategies and cutting edge technology. The event will host hundreds of decision makers from electricity and energy companies, automotive OEMs, integrated system providers, battery manufacturers, enterprise and government officials, industry analysts and equipment providers to explore the development of the EV industry and build key partnerships.
