Since 2005, outstanding innovations in the field of embedded system technologies have been honoured with the embedded award.

A jury has evaluated a total of 98 submissions for the 19th annual award ceremony. Of these, three nominees in each of the eight categories have now been determined. The award ceremony will take place on 14th March 2023 as a networking event at embedded world 2023.

"I was impressed this year by the continuing high level of innovation in the industry and especially by the gratifyingly wide bandwidth of the submissions. We have companies from all regions of the world. Applications came from many start-ups, small and large SMEs and also from some major corporations," emphasises Jury Chairman Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora.

All together 98 applications were submitted – a new record for the embedded award. "This figure shows the high regard in which this award is held in the embedded industry," says a delighted Benedikt Weyerer, Executive Director of the embedded world ‘Exhibition&Conference’.

Two new categories

In addition to the traditional Hardware, Tools, Software, Embedded Vision, ‘Safety&Security,’ and Start-up, the embedded award 2023 will also be given in the new categories of Artificial Intelligence and SoC/IP/IC Design.

"More than ever this year it has been noticeable how strongly the different categories are interdependent and how important the comprehensive systems approach of embedded world is," emphasises Prof. Sikora.

Award ceremony as a networking event

For the first time, the embedded world ‘Exhibition&Conference’ event team is organising an exclusive networking event for nominees at the embedded award ceremony.

"With this informal setting, we hope to encourage an intensive exchange among nominees and award winners. And afterwards, the guests can continue to celebrate at the exhibitors' party," says Weyerer.
