Kemtron opens new French office

Kemtron, the British manufacturer of RFI/EMI shielding and environmental sealing solutions, has opened an office in France to provide a dedicated local sales, distribution and technical service to this important high-tech market.

The office, which is set in Courcouronnes, just south of Paris will be 100% French owned and will employ local staff.
“France is a very important market for us,” says Managing Director of Kemtron SARL Steve Halls. “In many ways it is similar to the UK, with a strong community of leading-edge companies in defence, medical equipment, information technology, transport and communications who require sophisticated shielding and sealing solutions. We find that companies like these prefer to build close long-term relationships with partners who can provide the right level of technical and specialist manufacturing expertise.”
The office represents the next stage in Kemtron’s growing presence in the French market. “We appointed a French national to handle our local business in 2009, that gave us a greater insight into the needs of the market. In November 2010 we went a step further and registered our planned French operation as a SARL, a private limited liability company, with a share capital of €50,000. We are also setting up a dedicated French website and producing local versions of our publications and product information.”
Initially, the French office will provide full sales, logistics and technical support, with plans to introduce local manufacturing in the future. Kemtron believe that dedicated local facilities like these are essential to the community of innovative companies based in France. This approach represents a powerful business model which could be replicated in other territories with a similar profile.
