Farnell and Analog Devices, Inc. will co-host a webcast entitled ‘Converter Simulation – Beyond the Eval Board’ on Feb 22, 2011, from 3-4 pm CET.
During the hour-long webcast, ADI applications engineer for High Speed Converters Tom MacLeod will discuss ADI’s latest ADC behavioral modeling tool ADIsimADC. Users will be able to learn qualitatively how ADIsimADC models ADC, understand when and where ADIsimADC is useful, and how to use it to facilitate rapid product evaluation and system prototyping. By understanding the role ADIsimADC plays in a system’s design timeline and leveraging its strengths, engineers will be empowered to more quickly find the right converter for their application, learn how ADC distortion affects system performance, and be able to simulate system level performance with greater levels of accuracy to build confidence and reduce risk.

The webcast will comprise a 45-minute online presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. The session also will be archived after the event and can be accessed by visiting http://www.element-14.com/community/groups/technology-training-webinars. This webcast will be ideal for electronic design engineers and students who want to stay current with the latest technologies in converter simulation.

Topics in the full session will include but are not limited to:

§ What behavioral modeling is / isn’t

§ What is ADIsimADC?

§ How accurate is ADIsimADC?

§ Where can I use ADIsimADC?

§ What is the future roadmap for ADIsimADC and future related products?

“By understanding the role ADIsimADC plays in a system’s design timeline and leveraging its strengths, engineers will be empowered to more quickly find the right converter for their application,” said Tom MacLeod, applications engineer for High Speed Converters at Analog Devices. “We believe this webcast would benefit users get a thorough understanding of finding the right converter for their applications, and are very pleased to be once again partnering with a leading high-service distributor like Farnell.”
