Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (Nasdaq: CY) today announced that over 20,000 users have registered for the Cypress Developer Community™, an online forum for sharing design tips, videos, and blogs on the company’s PSoC® platform and other technologies.
Available at www.cypress.com/go/community, the design community now offers nine individual support forums, organized by product type. In six months since its launch, the increasingly interactive site has grown its content to include 12 blogs, written by Cypress technical experts; 60 videos; and tweets from the company’s Twitter account.

Cypress continues to give away a free iPad each month to a randomly drawn new registrant on the site, which is open to customers, employees, and distribution partners of Cypress.

The Cypress Developer Community’s forums focus primarily on the company’s flagship PSoC® programmable system-on-chip devices. Design engineers also can post questions and comments in sections dedicated to device programming, solutions to design problems, and the programmable analog and digital resources and applications for each of the architectures. Additional product forums address USB controllers, memory, clocks and buffers, along with a range of applications and Cypress’s University Alliance (www.cypress.com/?id=1163).

“We’re pleased to see the design community’s response to the Cypress Developer Community,” said Chris Seams, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Cypress. “It’s a testament to the site’s utility as an interactive design forum. As more users join the community, it increasingly becomes a place where designers can get information from the most trusted and credible source—other engineers working with Cypress products. In addition, Cypress gets more and more usable feedback that we can turn into actionable items to improve our offerings.”
