Cycleo SAS, a provider of innovative semiconductor IP targeting wireless long range applications, today announced the appointment of François Sforza to the position of Cycleo VP of Sales. Cycleo also announced that it has engaged EDA Sales Inc as its distributor for the USA (West Coast).
Sforza brings more than 20 years of Sales & Marketing management experience in wireless and semiconductors companies. Prior to joining Cycleo, he was Regional Manager for Europe at Wipro Technologies, providing Global Solution Services to the Telecom, Semiconductor, Consumer and Automotive Industries.

“Successful delivery of our innovative wireless IP solutions to the market depends on the strength of our worldwide channel.” said François Hede, Cycleo’s CEO. “François has a proven track record in the Wireless and Semiconductor markets, as well as developing an ecosystem with partners & end-users to help make our customers successful”.

Cycleo also announced that it has signed a representation agreement with Silicon Valley based EDA Sales inc, for sales in the USA (West Coast). Technical support will be provided directly by local Cycleo engineers, based in Silicon Valley.

“Having a local sales representative in the Silicon Valley teaming with our local technical support is an ideal set up for our customers” stated Sforza, Cycleo’s VP Sales.

“Wireless IP, driven by the AMR and M2M markets is an exciting and active market and we see a lot of potential in the west coast. Initial contacts have been very positive” remarked Barry Lazow, EDA sales CEO.

Wireless long range, low power is a key technology addressing the next generation of devices targeting promising AMR, machine to machine and handset to device market segments. Cycleo recently introduced Lora™ an innovative semiconductor IP, designed to enhance the range of wireless systems by a factor of 10 to 30 without changing the device BOM (Bill of materials).

Lora™ is a digital only IP replacing existing modems by taking radio sensitivity to unprecedented levels, or it can be added as an additional feature to a standard chip ( BT, BTLE, Zigbee, Wifi, GPS ), being activated when the required range could not be reached with the standard modem on board. Thanks to this feature, companies can now create a lot of services and applications without the need for additional infrastructure.
