“Innovation Day is a way of expressing gratitude to the innovators at Cadence for the assistance they have provided in moving the global electronics industry forward,” said Cadence Chief Technology Officer Charlie Huang. “And beyond Cadence, it’s our way of tipping our hat to all the electronics industry innovators whose efforts pay global dividends.”
Cadence has been a consistent leader in technology since it was founded in 1988. Headquartered in San Jose, Calif., Cadence develops products and offers services used by engineers to design the complex chips and systems that serve as the backbone of electronic products, including products fueling today’s burgeoning consumer electronics market.
This marks the fourth year that Cadence has recognized its leading engineers and scientists with the Excellence in Innovation Award. Cadence Innovation Day will include an afternoon event where this year’s award recipients will be recognized for their contributions by the entire company. In the evening, they will be feted at a special reception with the Mayor of San Jose.
“Innovation is a hallmark of San Jose and Silicon Valley,” said San José Mayor Chuck Reed. “The rest of the world looks to our people and our companies for a steady stream of world-changing technology. I am delighted to be able to honor Cadence employees and their accomplishments.”
