Imagination Technologies and Sorenson Media today announced that Imagination will include Sorenson Media’s Sorenson Spark video decoder in future versions of its line of advanced POWERVRVXD video decoder IP cores sold to semiconductor and consumer electronics companies. The cores are used in mobile phones, handheld multimedia devices, home consumer entertainment products, mobile and low-power computing devices, and in-car electronics.

Presens AS, a Norwegian sensor technology company has announced a new distribution agreement with Prime Technology, LLC of North Branford, CT, USA. Under the agreement, Prime Technology will sell and support all of Presens’ high accuracy pressure sensors to the oceanographic, calibration & reference, test and industrial markets across the USA.

Avago Technologies has announced a new innovative flat gain, high linearity low noise gain block that can be used as either a broadband gain block or driver amplifier MMIC. Housed in an industry standard SOT-89 package measuring 4.5mm by 4.1mm by 1.5 mm, Avago’s MGA-30689 flat gain, high linearity gain block operates in the 40 to 2,600 MHz frequency band and only requires a simple DC biasing match.
