Unit Shipments of Bluetooth-Enabled Equipment to Double by 2015
After a decade of rapid growth mostly in cellphones and consumer electronics, Bluetooth wireless connection technology is now pushing into a broader range of applications in personal area networks. The Bluetooth Special Interest Group has expanded its marketing campaign to start a second major wave of growth in wireless PANs serving healthcare, smart energy, home systems, and other uses.

Agilent Technologies Completes Acquisition of Dako, Danish Cancer Diagnostics Company
Agilent Technologies Inc. today announced that its acquisition of cancer diagnostics company Dako has been completed. Agilent, which paid $2.2 billion in cash for Dako (on a debt-free basis), expects the acquisition to help strengthen Agilent's position in life sciences, with a focus on product development to help in the fight against cancer.
IEEE 1588 Support on QorIQ Processors
The IEEE 1588 Standard is a precision clock synchronization protocol for networked measurement and control systems. The QorIQ data path acceleration architecture (DPAA) provides the infrastructure to support simplified sharing of networking interfaces and accelerators by multiple CPU cores. The demo shows IEEE 1588 usage on DPAA network.
