Richardson RFPD now has available the EVK-PRM2146X-D Evaluation Kit from Peraso. It provides engineers with a convenient platform to evaluate and develop high-performance 60GHz wireless systems based on Peraso’s latest dual-polarised phased-array technology.

The EVK-PRM2146X-D centres on the PRM2146X-D, the first module in Peraso’s Perspectus family to offer dual-polarisation capability.

Designed to support dynamic wireless environments, the module enables seamless switching between horizontal and vertical polarisation during operation, helping maintain reliable connectivity in applications where antenna orientation may change due to mobility.

The evaluation kit delivers everything needed to quickly begin testing and prototyping including:

  • PRM2146X-D dual-polarized 60GHz module
  • PER6145 adapter board
  • Heatsink
  • Power supply
  • Tripod mount for simplified laboratory setup

The PRM2146X-D is powered by Peraso’s X720 IEEE 802.11ad 60GHz phased-array chipset, which combines a baseband processor with a high-power mmWave beamforming transceiver.

The integrated PRS1165 RFIC features 16 RF chains and supports all six WiGig-defined channels, enabling high-throughput wireless communications across the 57 to 71GHz frequency band.

The PRM2146X-D combines an integrated 8-element dual-polarised phased-array antenna with Peraso’s PRS4601 B2E baseband processor, delivering complete IEEE 802.11ad functionality for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications.

Supporting the full 57–71 GHz band and utilizing a USB 3.0 interface for data and control, the module enables rapid evaluation and development of high-speed 60GHz wireless systems in dynamic networking environments.
