PCIM strengthens its position as a key platform in power electronics

The PCIM Asia 2018 closed its doors after more than 5,000 visitors attended over three days. At Asia's leading exhibition and conference for power electronics and its applications, 91 national and international exhibitors presented the latest trends and developments on an exhibition area of 7,000 square meters.

"The past three days have shown that PCIM Asia has once again consolidated its position on the market, and is an important meeting point for power electronics experts in China," stated Lisette Hausser, Vice President of Mesago Messe Frankfurt.

The exhibitor forum in the exhibition hall is increasingly becoming a magnet for the trade visitors. Well-known companies such as Mitsubishi, Rohm and Semikron presented their latest products to interested visitors on this platform.

The conference also achieved a good result with 387 participants. Highlights included keynote presentations by Professor Enrique Dede, University of Valencia, Spain on ‘A Vision on Industrial Induction Heating Converter Technology: Trends and Challenges’ and Herman Zhang, Delta Electronics, Taiwan on ‘Technology Trends of E-mobility Charging’.

Further highlights included special sessions on ‘Electric Vehicles’ and ‘Increasingly intelligent Electrical Motion Systems’. An additional eight oral sessions and two poster sessions complemented the conference program, which was taking place in the exhibition hall for the first time.

The analysis will be available at the end of July after a detailed evaluation of the figures.

The next PCIM Asia will take place from 25th to 27th June 2019 in Shanghai.
