Würth Elektronik has expanded its portfolio of wireless power coils. WE-WPCC WPT/NFC combines wireless power transmission with the Near Field Communication (NCF) standard thus enabling, for example, the combination of a charging station for smartphones with identification and payment functions.

Würth Elektronik has extended its range of coaxial connectors and published a new catalogue. On 174 pages, the ‘Coax Connectors’ English language catalogue presents nine product groups. The new product families of SMB and SMP connectors is the highlight.

With the introduction of the WE-CCMF, Würth Elektronik offers a compact multilayer common mode choke in a 0504 package which is characterised by high common mode attenuation in the WiFi frequency range (>30 dB @ 2450MHz).

Würth Elektronik has launched a product family of GNSS modules. The Elara line represents some of the smallest GNSS modules on the market - both with and without integrated antenna. For sophisticated navigation tasks, the Erinome series uses all four global navigation satellite systems at top speed: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou.

The Würth Elektronik eiSos Group has set up a task force to guarantee preferential supply to manufacturers of medical devices. As one of the largest European suppliers of electronic components, the Waldenburg based company thus wants to ensure that the production of urgently needed medical technology can be further expanded worldwide.

Würth Elektronik has complementd its AEC-Q200 product group of qualified radio interference suppression chokes with an SMT-mountable model: WE-RCIS. The rod core choke, available in four versions, is characterised by its high current-carrying capacity and very high saturation power.

Although the WSEN-TIDS versatile temperature sensor from Würth Elektronik measures just 2.0x2.0x0.5mm, its range of application is wide: Its accuracy in the measuring range -40 to +125°C is ±0.5°C, while in the range -10 to +60°C it goes down to ±0.25°C.

Würth Elektronik has presented the Bluetooth Low Energy 5.1 module Proteus-III and the proprietary version Thyone-I for safe industrial radio applications. The modules, measuring only 8x12x2mm, with integrated antenna, encryption technology and six configurable IO pins, are based on the Nordic Semiconductor nRF52840 chipset.

IQD Frequency Products has launched a range of high frequency Oven Controlled Voltage Controlled SAW Oscillators (OCVCSOs). Three frequencies are currently available in the OCVCSO series, 400MHz, 800MHz and 1.2GHz and they are packaged in a 25.4x22x13.2mm industry standard SMD package.

A new generation of MagI³C FDSM power modules have been released by Würth Elektronik for the 24V industrial voltage network. The power modules with fixed 3.3 or 5V output voltages are now also available with an input voltage of 36V, following on from versions with maximum input voltages of 28 and 42V. 

The MagI³C-VDMM (Variable Step Down Micro Module) power module family from Würth Elektronik is supplemented by more powerful 1 and 1.2A versions. The input voltage range (from 2.5 to 5.5V) covers the standard 3.3 and 5V bus voltages, and the adjustable output voltage ranges from 0.8 to 5.5V. 

Under the product name WE-EEL, Würth Elektronik now offers cable clips made of aluminium sheet to enable stable grounded fixation of cables of various dimensions. Cables with diameters ranging from 2.5 to 20.5mm can now be simply affixed to circuit boards using clips in any of twelve different sizes and an M4 screw. 

Wireless battery charging is a comfortable and maintenance-free affair. Companies wishing to tap these advantages for the market of e-bikes and other small electrical vehicles can now turn to Würth Elektronik for development and component support.

Recently, on 25th May the Formula E circus returned to the closed-down airfield at Berlin Tempelhof, transforming it into a suspense-packed venue for motor sport. The new MID-OLRM extended rail RM6 and RM10 transformer series for offline applications are now available from Würth Elektronik. Available with single or dual five, 12, or 24V outputs, these flyback transformers feature a small footprint, high power density, and grounded cores for improved EMC performance.

The Würth Elektronik eiSos reference book programme has grown. The manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical components is now also publishing a reference book with comprehensive practical information on their use. It has been announced that Würth Elektronik eiSos is offering the Calypso WiFi module, a compact, fully integrated wireless module for embedded systems in industrial applications. The module is WiFi certified which ensures industry-agreed standards for interoperability, security, and a range of application specific protocols.
