Vincotech has announced the release of a new line of three-level power modules engineered to achieve highest efficiency for single-phase solar inverters, even at reactive power. Packaged in the most compact flow 1 housing, flowPACK 1 H6.5 combines excellent performance with remarkable cost efficiency.

Vincotech helped generate 13GW of solar energy in 2015 with power modules installed in solar inverters that account for around 25% of that year's global yield. Vincotech’s persistent innovation and quality service have produced components that are saving more than 17m tons of carbon dioxide equivalents (MMTCDE) every year, which is tantamount to planting some 440m trees.

Vincotech has announced the release of the flowSPFC 0, a new symmetric PFC module aimed to help vendors step up efficiency, drive down costs and make the most of next-gen UPS. This ultra compact module packs a lot of power into a petit housing. With an efficiency rating ranging up to 99.2%, impressive performance and a remarkably low price, the flowSPFC 0 line goes a long way towards cutting manufacturers' overall system costs.

Vincotech has announced the release of the extension of its housing family flow90, with the new flow90 0. The flow90 housings are used for standard products with CON, PIM and PACK configurations and make the most of the PCB to minimise the application‘s footprint.

Vincotech has announced the release of flowPFC 0 CD modules. Engineered to optimise energy quality and consumption for welding, SMPS and embedded drive applications rated from 1 to 6 kW, these power factor correction modules draw maximum power from the grid.

Vincotech has announced the approval of silicone-free of Müller-Ahlhorn Thermigrease TG 20032 for the company's power modules. MiniSKiiP modules are the first to ship with this pre-applied silicone-free thermal paste. Many applications, for example, automotive production lines, have severe requirements regarding silicone-free products.

  A 3-in-1 solution that integrates three topologies into one flow1 housing has been released by Vincotech. The flowRPI 1 is designed for welding, charger and SMPS applications rated from 1.5 to 7kW.

An Intelligent-Power Module (IPM) for low-power operation in embedded drive applications has been introduced by Vincotech. Suitable for embedded motor drives for fans, pumps, washing machines and small industrial motor drives with up to 2kW output power, the three-phase input power module comes in a flow 1B housing with press-fit pins for easy assembly.

A set of Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) modules featuring Infineon IGBT H5 technology have been introduced by Vincotech. Offered in flow 0 and flow 1 housings, the modules combine high speed with low saturation voltages and outstanding switching characteristics.

  Two FlowBoost4w modules have been released by Vincotech. They are designed for online UPS and other three-phase, three level active PFC applications, where high conversion efficiency and switching frequencies are required.

Power modules engineered for motion control applications have been introduced by Vincotech. The flow7PACK line of power modules includes the flow7PACK 0, rated for 8, 15 and 25A, the flow7PACK 1, rated for 25, 35 and 50A, and the flow7PACK 2, rated for 50, 75 and 100A. The line is a convenient option for applications in which EMC presents a problem because of the PIM module's compact design. 

An extended range of Ultra Capacitors to include 3,000 Farad has been announed by Vinatech. This hi density technology has enabled range expansion to 3,000 Farad from previous high capacitance range of 0.75 Farad to 900 Farad in EDLC and Hybrid P-EDLC.

Vincotech has introduced a new fully MOSFET-based NPC converter module in a flow 1 housing. Designed for 1200 V solar inverter applications, this module features a split output, eliminates cross conduction and provides reactive power capability.

Vincotech offers a wide range of power modules, one line of which is the perfect match for book-sized inverters and 19-inch rack-mounted power supplies with a 90-degree angle between the heat-sink and PCB. Most of the current high power semiconductors are optimized for switching frequencies between 4 and 8 kHz. Today, however, more and more applications require frequencies of 10 kHz and higher. New power modules specifically designed for higher frequencies can now fill that gap.
