USB flash drives are slim & sophisticated

Samsung Electronics has announced a suite of slim and sophisticated USB flash drives (UFD) available in three ergonomic form factors, each equipped with robust Samsung NAND flash technology. The introduction of this product line now provides customers with a more complete menu of branded memory products available from Samsung that currently include, a full line of SD and microSD memory cards, internal SSDs and portable SSD products.

Back-side illumination results in crisper, sharper images

Currently in mass production, the S5KVB2 is designed into Samsung’s compact system camera, the NX1.

3D vertical NAND flash memory powers SSD

Based on the company's 3D vertical NAND (V-NAND) flash memory technology, Samsung has introduced the 850 PRO SSD (Solid State Drive). Suitable for use in high-end PCs and workstations, the SSDs deliver sequential read performance up to 550MBps, write performance of up to 520MBps, random read performance up to 100,000IOPS and random write speeds up to 90,000IOPS.

SSD line-up claims industry's first 1TB mSATA SSD

Samsung announce industry’s first PCIe SSD for Ultra-slim notebook PCs

Samsung reveal that it has begun mass producing the industry's first PCI-Express solid state drive for next-generation ultra-slim notebook PCs. The new Samsung XP941 delivers a level of performance that easily surpasses the speed limit of a SATA 6Gb/s interface. The Samsung XP941 enables a sequential read performance of 1,400MB/s, which is the highest performance available with a PCIe 2.0 interface.

SAIT Develops the World’s First Full-color Quantum Dot Display

SAIT succeeded in developing the world’s first full-color quantum dot display. SAIT announced that it has succeeded in producing a four-inch QVGA-grade (resolution 320x240) full-color display by developing a new patterning method, which enables the large-scale production of quantum dot displays.
