New research from Omdia's Tablet and Notebook Display & OEM Market Tracker, has found total mobile PC (include notebook and tablet) panel shipment reached 479 million units in 2022.

The latest Omdia data for a smartphone active installed base for 3Q22 shows the stark decline of smartphones with single SIM card slots and the under-the-radar rise of eSIMs over the past few years.

Total worldwide telecoms revenues from mobile and fixed broadband services will grow 14% between 2022 and 2027 to reach €1.2 trillion according to latest research from Omdia.

Singapore has again emerged as leader in Omdia’s Global Fibre Development 2022 Index, with maximum scores in seven of the nine metrics (referenced below).

According to Omdia's smartphone preliminary shipment report for the second quarter of 2022, global smartphone shipments totaled 293.7 million units, a decrease of 3.2% compared to the same period last year – and a 4.6% decrease compared to the previous quarter.

The global smartphone market grew 6.9% year-over-year (YoY) to 299.1 million units in 2Q 2021, compared to the 279.7 million units shipped in 2Q 2020 – according to Omdia’s latest smartphone preliminary shipment result.

The global smartphone market was able to recover from a tremendously difficult first half of 2020.
