Nexeon establishes base in Asia

Nexeon has announced the opening of an office and development laboratory in Japan. Nexeon Japan K.K. is located in Yokohama, closer to many of Nexeon’s development partners and prospective customers in the electronics and automotive sectors. Nexeon Japan K.K. will focus on customer support, applications engineering and materials and battery R&D. The company is presently recruiting Battery Scientists and Engineers.

Battery materials company appoints three senior researchers

Three senior researchers from Sony have been appointed by Nexeon. Kenta Yamamoto, Kengo Ichimiya and Akifumi Nakamura have previously been responsible for battery developments and bring with them years’ of experience in fundamental research and advanced development leading to commercialisation of novel battery designs.

New facility is capable of 20 tonnes of product per year

Nexeon have completed the construction and commissioning of a state-of-the art process development and manufacturing facility. The facility, at Nexeon's headquarters in Oxfordshire, is capable of producing over 20 tonnes of product a year, and has been built to be highly versatile and able to handle a wide range of materials and reagents.

New Chief Financial Officer for Nexeon

Nexeon has strengthened its top management team with the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer. Mr Michael Black takes up the role with immediate effect and is the first to hold the post. Michael Black was previously Chief Financial Officer of ‘smart home services company’ AlertMe, and before that held a similar role at Cambridge Display Technology.
