Yamamoto-san was previously with the Primary Battery Division of Sony, and has worked on both anode and Mg-ion cathode systems; he has been closely involved with studying Nexeon’s technology in recent years. Ichimiya-san has worked on polymer battery technology at Sony, and has achieved important advances leading to commercial battery designs. Akifumi Nakamura has worked on silicon anodes and cell optimisation. All three researchers will be based at Nexeon’s offices in the UK.
“We are delighted to welcome Yamamoto-san, Ichimiya-san and Nakamura-san to our operation”, said Dr Scott Brown, CEO, Nexeon. “Their considerable experience will be invaluable to our development efforts, and will help us to maintain close links with our OEM partners in Asia.”
