Computer on module based on new Intel Atom processor

MSC Technologies’s MSC Q7-BT Qseven module family is based on the new Intel Atom processor E3800 product technology (formerly codenamed “Bay Trail”). The computer-on-modules close the gap between the high-end COM Express boards with Intel Core processors and the existing Intel Atom based Qseven modules at the entry level.

Projected Capacitive Touch panels added to MPU starter kit

For evaluation and test of the MSC NANORISC-AM335x family of processor modules with Texas Instruments AM335x ARM processor, MSC is now offering the ready-to-use MSC NANORISC-SK-MB2 starter kit. The kit consists of the versatile MSC nanoRISC-MB2 baseboard with power supply, a 7in. WVGA TFT display and a 7” PCT touch panel.

Connector range handles up to 5A current rating

The DF61 series from Hirose, which is now available from MSC offers advanced reliability for power supplies. It consists of headers, sockets and crimp contacts that have the capacity to handle up to 5A (amps) current rating. The connector range has been designed with space saving in mind; the two positions for example, only occupy 38mm² approximate board space.

Computer on modules supplies powerful graphics

A new COM Express Type 6 MSC C6C-GX module family based on the AMD Embedded G-Series SOC (system-on-chip) platform has been released by MSC. The computer-on-modules offer a powerful graphics and multimedia performance with low power dissipation. The module family will be available with four different quad-core and dual-core processors.

Starter kit supports RZ/A1 microprocessors

A kit that enables a quick start into the development of cost-sensitive, compact Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications is now available at distributor MSC. The Renesas Starter Kit supports the semiconductor company’s RZ/A1 group of microprocessors (MPUs) that were launched in June 2013, featuring on chip SRAM of 3MB, 5MB or 10MB, depending on the version.

New Starterkit for Multicore ARM-based Qseven Modules

The new MSC Q7-SK-IMX6 from MSC is an out-of-the-box Starterkit for the company’s Qseven modules based on the Freescale i.MX6 which contains a Cortex-A9 RISC CPU with one, two or four cores. The kit includes all components for the operation of the Qseven module: a compact Qseven baseboard with power supply, a Qseven Heatspreader, an SD Card with bootable Operating System and a Resource CD with drivers and documentation.

Male/Female connectors for heating applications check in at MSC

As 3680 in standing and 3683 in an angled version the combined male and female connectors from Lumberg with zero and/or protective conductor bridge are now available at MSC. They are almost exclusively used in heating technology. The connectors are available in a wide range of variants.

MSC Vertriebs has today announced the new high-end MSC C6B-8S COM ExpressType 6 module family with the just introduced dual-core variants of the fourth generation Intel Core processors (code name “Haswell”). MSC Adds Renesas Low Power MCUs to Inventory

Renesas's new ultra low power consumption RL78/G10 Group of microcontrollers (MCUs) are now available from MSC. The MCUs, which come in a 3.6mm x 4.4mm, 10-pin SSOP (Shrink Small Outline Package), are ideally suited for the control of battery-operated miniature electronic equipment. Depending on the version, the devices are equipped with 1KB to 4KB flash memory and can be clocked at up to 20MHz.

MSC now offers the new L26 multi-GNSS module from Quectel.

The new L26 module from MSC features ultra low power consumption of only 21 mA in tracking mode/29 mA in acquisition mode and a high sensitivity of -165 dBm in tracking operation/-148 dBm in acquisition operation.

Photocouplers in 8-pin SIDP with maximum switching speed

MSC now offers two new photocouplers, PS9332L and PS9332L2, from Renesas Electronics. The new photocouplers feature an extremely short switching delay time of 200 nS maximum, low current consumption of less than 2.5 mA, output current of 2 A maximum and integrated IGBT protection function.

MSC is presenting the new SiT1618 MEMS XO family from SiTime on its Booth 2-219 in Hall 2 at embedded world 2013, February 26 28, 2013 in Nuremberg, Germany. These new oscillators, which are designed for the automotive operating temperature range from 40°C to +125°C, feature excellent frequency stability up to ±25 ppm inclusive of all conditions, G sensitivity of only 0.1 ppb and low power consumption of 3.6 mA.
