Companies collaborate to produce free PCB design tool

Mouser Electronics has made its play in offering PCB design tools to engineers by collaborating with National Instruments to produce MultiSIM BLUE, a PCB design integration tool. It is available free globally, and is offered in English and German as well as Simplified Chinese. It utilises the Berkeley SPICE engine and includes a preloaded component library of over 100,000 frequently used components from multiple Mouser databases.

Evaluation kit targets ultra low power designs

An evaluation kit that supports Texas Instruments MSP30FR5969 microcontroller is now in stock at Mouser Electronics. Collaboration opens way to free component evaluation tool

Customers of distributor Mouser Electronics can now access MultiSIM BLUE, the NI Multisim Component Evaluator – Mouser Edition. A collaboration between the two companies has produced a Mouser version of the free tool that will add features and functionality to provide engineers with an industry-standard SPICE simulation environment of electronic circuits using Mouser Electronics’ distributed components.

A/D converter runs at 1.6MSPS, claims industry's fastest title

Mouser Electronics says it is the first distributor to ship the new MAX11905 Single Channel SAR Analog-to-Digital Converter from Maxim Integrated. The device is a single-channel 20-bit Successive Approximation Register (SAR) Analog to Digital Converter (ADC). At 1.6 million samples per second (MSPS) it is the industry's fastest 20-bit ADC. It is designed to provide excellent static and dynamic performance with best-in-class power consumption.
