Mouser Electronics is now stocking the new SimpleLink Wi‑Fi CC3100 and CC3200 Processor development boards from Texas Instruments (TI). Marketed as an Internet-on-a-chip low-power Wi‑Fi family, these Wi‑Fi development boards allow users to develop with the CC3100 network processor and CC3200 Wi‑Fi MCU families to easily add embedded Wi‑Fi and Internet connectivity to a wide-range of applications.

The new development boards allow developers to quickly start using the TI SimpleLink CC3100 network processor and CC3200 Wi-Fi MCU solutions. Developers can get started with the CC3200 wireless MCU with the SimpleLink CC3200 LaunchPad evaluation kit. To aid CC3100 network processor developers in adding Wi-Fi to any MCU, Mouser Electronics offers the TI SimpleLink CC3100 Wi‑Fi BoosterPack, and the CC31XXEMUBOOST Advanced Emulation BoosterPack for RF testing and advanced debugging.

Both kits include code samples for managing Wi‑Fi features, sending email and instant messages, and CC3200 peripheral examples. These solutions provide easy development for Internet of Thing applications with quick connection, cloud support and on-chip Wi‑Fi, Internet and robust security protocols – all requiring no prior Wi‑Fi experience to get a product connected.

These development boards allow designers to evaluate all Wi-Fi processor features including the 802.11 b/g/n network support and access point modes;fully integrated auto-calibrated radio, baseband, and MAC; and the advanced Wi‑Fi connection manager. The low power radio and advanced low power modes place these solutions as one of the lowest power consumption platforms for battery operated devices in the industry.

These Wi-Fi processor solutions feature an on‑chip WLAN and TCP/IP stack, as well as the SimpleLink connection manager, embedded crypto engine with 256-bit encryption, and WPA2 security. The CC3100 network processor and CC3200 wireless MCU solutions meet applications in home automation systems, smart energy products, multimedia devices, security and safety devices, industrial M2M and Internet of Things (IoT).
