Offering designers a single power socket for use in both USA and rest of the world markets, the patented “Dual DC” socket has been unveiled by Cliff Electronics. The socket will accept 2.5mm power plugs, standard in the USA, as well as the 2.1mm plugs used in all other markets. CLIFF Electronics has announced the introduction of several products, adding to its audio jack socket range. Cliff jack sockets are used by major global audio equipment manufacturers in the music and broadcast industries and the company can also offer customers a complete cable and lead design and manufacturing service, including over-moulding, to meet specific application requirements.

Cliff Electronics has introduced its FT digital XLR feed-through connector series. The FT series is a complete range of audio, data, and fibre connectors that can be front or rear mounted into an industry standard 24mm XLR connector mounting hole. The connectors are simple to mount into any panel designed to accept XLR connectors including instrument, control and rack panels, wall-plates, etc.

A range of latching DC plugs and sockets, which prevent critical power loss in applications such as data monitoring, emergency lighting and equipment charging, has been introduced by Cliff Electronics. Secured by a simple push and turn locking mechanism, the devices are rated for 2A at 16VDC and available in diameters of 2.1 or 2.5mm. 

A latching female XLR socket has been released by Cliff Electronics, expanding the company’s Airtight XLR connector range. The socket, designed for audio inputs, is fitted with an integral latch to prevent accidental disconnection by vibration or tension on the cable.
