Cliff Electronics is spreading its wings in the US market by signing a distribution agreement with Newark Element14. The wide ranging agreement will greatly increase the availability of their products in the Americas and showcase their market leading Feed Though connector range.

Two new connectors have been added to Cliff Electronics’ range of XLR-Format Feedthrough Data Connectors. The new chassis mounted ‘gender change’ sockets are available in USB2 A-to-B and B-to-A versions and allow designers to integrate USB2 networking and data feeds into professional equipment for broadcast, lighting, audio and industrial applications.

Cliff Electronics has introduced its FT digital XLR feed-through connector series. The FT series is a complete range of audio, data, and fibre connectors that can be front or rear mounted into an industry standard 24mm XLR connector mounting hole. The connectors are simple to mount into any panel designed to accept XLR connectors including instrument, control and rack panels, wall-plates, etc.

A range of latching DC plugs and sockets, which prevent critical power loss in applications such as data monitoring, emergency lighting and equipment charging, has been introduced by Cliff Electronics. Secured by a simple push and turn locking mechanism, the devices are rated for 2A at 16VDC and available in diameters of 2.1 or 2.5mm. 

A latching female XLR socket has been released by Cliff Electronics, expanding the company’s Airtight XLR connector range. The socket, designed for audio inputs, is fitted with an integral latch to prevent accidental disconnection by vibration or tension on the cable.

USB data connection to audio, broadcast, audio-visual, lighting controllers and industrial equipment is becoming increasingly prevalent as digital signal and control options increase and more information needs to be transferred between portable equipment, smart phones, tablets and other data storage devices which can also be powered or charged while connected.

Providing two USB compliant sockets in a panel space-saving single XLR receptacle, CLIFF Electronics announces a dual USB2 connector. The XLR connector style body shell was selected as it is widely used in the audio/broadcast industries, is an industry standard panel cut-out and offers maximum panel mounting density to system designers.
