The BCM4359 enables devices to transmit and receive over two bands simultaneously, delivering an improved experience to highly connected, multi-tasking users. 

Broadcom has announced what it claims is the industry's first fully integrated SoC for the virtual Customer Premise Equipment (vCPE) market. The BCM88312 integrated and programmable device can be seamlessly connected to the operator's network to deliver vCPE services. It is designed to provide carriers with flexibility to add new services in a dynamic, multi-vendor environment.

Broadcom has introduced two SoC devices to provide mobile access carriers with industry-leading capacity and spectral efficiency to boost existing microwave backhaul infrastructure. The technology behind D-Link's PowerLine AV2 2000 Gigabit Starter Kit for home networks is the BCM60500 HomePlug AV2 (HPAV2) MIMO chip, maker Broadcom has announced. Broadcom's powerline technology at chip level allows D-Link to deliver a significant increase in throughput and coverage performance for a variety of home connectivity devices.

Broadcom’s portfolio of DOCSIS 3.0 and DOCSIS 3.1 silicon now supports an open source software stack, which was developed in collaboration with Comcast and will serve as the foundation for a new version of the RDK for broadband devices. The combined technology will enable cable multi-system operators to accelerate services for subscriber's home gateways, including customised parental controls and firewall protection.

Two Ultra HD SoC devices, which support Google's VP9 open video compression standard, have been released by Broadcom. Designed for client and media gateway STM applications, the BCM7251S and BCM7252S support VP9 decode alongside 60fps on the new codec.
