Anritsu names Fiberdk Aps as OTDR training partner in Nordics
An Approved Training Partner Programme (ATPP) agreement has been signed by Anritsu and Fiberdk Aps, specialists in delivering fibre optic focused training services. Under the terms of the new agreement, Fiberdk will offer Anritsu Approved Optical Training courses in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands.

Anritsu names Exova as service partner in Finland

Anritsu has signed an agreement with Exova METECH to be a Certified Service Partner (ACSP) in Finland. This agreement will see Exova providing calibration and repair services for Anritsu products across the Finnish market including functional testing, calibration, maintenance and repairs of Anritsu Site Master Handheld Analysers, Master Series and Handheld Spectrum Analysers, both on-site and at their premises.

Software packages support LTE Cat-M1, NB-IoT designs
Multiple software packages for its Radio Communications Analyser MT8821C that support emerging LTE Category M1 (LTE Cat-M1) and Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) designs have been released by Anritsu. The LTE Cat-M1 and NB-IoT support expands the test capability of the MT8821C, and provides IoT-terminal and chipset manufacturers as well as communications operators with an all-in-one solution that can speed development of IoT devices.

VNF solution completes successful tests at ETSI event

Successful completion of the 2nd NFV Plugtests has been announced by Anritsu following an event organised by the European Telecommunications Standardisation Institute (ETSI) with the scope of validating and testing Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV) interoperability. The event was organised by the ETSI Centre for Testing and Interoperability.

Software supports latest sub-6GHz 3GPP 5G NR standard
A planned expansion of the Universal Wireless Test Set MT8870A software to support the new 3GPP 5G Sub-6 GHz New Radio (NR) RF measurement standards has been released by Anritsu. The enhanced 5G Sub-6GHz NR Uplink Tx Measurement and Downlink Waveform File software options will support non-signaling based 5G Sub-6GHz TRx tests.

Signal quality analyser earns PCI Express 3.0 test certification
The Signal Quality Analyser-R (SQA-R) MP1900A from Anritsu has been certified as a compliance test solution for PCI Express 3.0 Link Equalisation (Link EQ) tests and Receiver (Rx) Jitter Tolerance tests by the PCI-SIG consortium. With support for PCI Express 3.0, as well as expandability to PCI Express 4.0 and 5.0, the MP1900A helps control capital equipment expenses while supporting various tests.

Software packages steer course to IEEE 802.11ax test specs
Three software packages which expand the measurement standards supported by the Universal Wireless Test Set MT8870A have been released by Anritsu. The packages will enable fast and fully automatic testing in accordance with the IEEE 802.11ax test specifications. The packages are the WLAN 802.11ax Tx Measurement MX887033A and WLAN 802.11ax Waveform Files MV887033A for evaluating IEEE 802.11ax devices, along with a Full Automatic Measurement Program.

Software option delivers LTE Category M RF tests
An LTE Category M software release for the Universal Wireless Test Set MT8870A has been released by Anritsu. It will support RF tests of LTE Category M devices. The release includes Category M FDD Uplink Tx measurement software (MX887065A), Category M FDD Downlink Waveform files (MV887065A) and Fully Automatic Measurement Program, providing fast and automatic testing (Tx power, frequency, modulation accuracy, modulation sensitivity, etc.) in accordance with the 3GPP LTE Category M RF test specifications.

Anritsu says that Autotalks has endorsed its RF calibration and validation test solution based on the MT8870A high-speed wireless test platform. This test set supports all Autotalks IEEE802.11p DSRC chipsets designed for V2X use cases. Anritsu’s MT88xx series long-established connectivity and cellular test methodologies enable customers to improve product quality while reducing test time and cost.

The MD8430A software options now support Gigabit LTE (DL 5CA and UL 3CA IP data communications, SCME, Fading), and Cellular IoT evaluations (Cat-M1, NB-IoT).

Two software upgrades that enable testing of RF Transceiver (TRx) characteristics for 6CC CA have been rolled out by Anritsu using the company’s MT8821C. Anritsu has announced new WLAN Security Function software for its MT8862A Wireless Connectivity Test Set, which supports evaluation of devices for the rapidly growing IoT market even when WLAN security is turned on. Applications including TVs, the connected car, industrial equipment and sensors are rapidly adopting the WLAN standard. To ensure reliable operation, parameters such as wireless reception range and sensitivity need to be tested under realistic operating conditions.

Collaboration enables 400GE device/module verification
A collaboration to build a high-speed test lab to provide a bit error rate test (BERT) system with symbol rate up to 56Gbaud PAM4 and 56Gb/s NRZ per channel has been announced byAnritsu and Industrial Technology Research Institute. The BERT system will incorporate wideband optical spectrum analyser (OSA), high-precision pulse pattern generator (PPG) and high-sensitivity error detector (ED) modules for generating high quality PAM/NRZ test signal outputs with fast Tr/Tf, low jitter & noise.
