Automotive OEMs get safety-critical HMI system

The DiSTI Corporation and Green Hills Software have extended their partnership spanning over a decade to support the automotive market with a safety-critical HMI system. It combines Green Hills’ certified safety and security solutions, services and cross-industry expertise with DiSTI’s GL Studio 3D graphical user interfaces, and is aimed at automotive OEMs and Tier 1s.

The partnership brings together the targeted focus to creating safety-critical ISO 26262 ASIL certified displays for automotive instrument clusters, HUDs and infotainment systems in order to meet the ever increasing complexities of the electrical and electronic systems in automotive.

“DiSTI’s GL Studio is a very high performance graphics tool, focused on delivering the best HMI tools experience possible. We look forward to extending our years of joint customer success working with DiSTI to help advance the automotive industry’s safety capabilities,” said Dan Mender, vice president business development, Green Hills Software.

“Green Hills and DiSTI have a long-standing successful relationship in place, and we are thrilled to be further expanding that into the automotive market to leverage all the safety-critical cooperation we’ve had in the aviation and medical markets over the years,” said Joe Swinski, president of DiSTI.

DiSTI and Green Hills have a long history of delivering success in safety-critical FAA DO-178 certified aerospace and aviation avionics markets as well as a co-operative FDA 501k certification in the life-critical Class III medical device market.
