Richard Draves takes on new planning role at Link Microtek

Link Microtek has appointed Richard Draves to the new position of production planner within the company’s Engineering Division. This part of the business designs and manufactures a wide variety of waveguide and coaxial microwave components, assemblies and subsystems.

Richard has been tasked with boosting production efficiency through the implementation of effective planning/scheduling systems and lean manufacturing processes.

He brings to Link Microtek extensive experience of the production operations environment, including 16 years as team leader of the production planning department at Linde Material Handling in Basingstoke.

In his new role, Richard will be responsible for co-ordinating the activities of four teams: design engineering, CAD, production, and test and assembly. In addition, he will spearhead Link’s activities within the SC21 programme for aerospace and defence suppliers.
