The device can configured using Exar’s design tool, PowerArchitect, and programmed through an I²C based SMBus compliant serial interface, which can also be used to monitor and dynamically control and configure the power system. Five configurable GPIOs allow for fast system integration for fault reporting and status or for sequencing control.
