RFID transponder detects the locking state of cable cars

Previously, it has been a challenge for cable-car operators to supply the gondola with the power required to operate the monitoring devices. The company’s RFID transponder, however, is activated via the reading device’s electromagnetic waves and requires no additional source of energy to provide the device ID and state of the locking mechanism to the control unit.
