SITO touch screen sensors are designed for use with gloves

DATA MODUL introduced SITO (Single sided ITO) touch screen sensors at electronica 2014, which took place from 11th to 14th November in Munich. The easyTOUCH SITO sensors were received well at the bi-annual electronics event.

Enabling users to operate the touch screen with gloves on and when water droplets are present, the easyTOUCH SITO sensors are based on the Atmel maxTouch T- series controllers. Operating from -30 to +85°C with a high signal-to-noise ratio, the devices also provide users with an alternative to GFF and GG sensors.

Enabling a narrow design and bezel, the EasyTOUCH SITO touch screen sensors are produced on a TFT/colour filter production line on 0.55, 0.7 or 1.1mm thick glass substrate alongside a cover glass with in-house LOCA bonding. The sensors are compatible with easyTOUCH SITO screens in 10.1, 12.1 and 15.6”.
