Electronic Specifier Design Magazine, October 2025

ESD October 2025

I’m delighted to be able to share some news with you: Electronic Specifier has a brand-new website!

This project has been in the works for some time, and the whole team is excited to finally open the doors to a platform designed with you, our readers, at the very heart of it. Our aim was simple: to make it quicker, easier, and more enjoyable for engineers, designers, and procurement professionals to find the information that matters most in their day-to-day work.

The electronics industry never stands still, and neither should we. That is why this redesign was not just about a fresh look, but about creating a space that reflects the fast-moving, multi-faceted nature of our sector. We know that time is valuable, and when you come to Electronic Specifier, you want to get straight to the latest news, technical articles, opinion pieces, or product updates that can support your work. The new site makes this journey much more straightforward. With faster navigation, improved search functionality, and a more intuitive layout, you can now move seamlessly from a podcast to a whitepaper, or from an in-depth feature to a product demo, without missing a beat.

For me personally, the most rewarding part of this process has been shaping the site around usability. Over the years, we have expanded into new formats – podcasts, videos, and digital events, alongside written features and technical deep dives. Bringing all of these together under one clear, accessible platform has been a key focus. I think you’ll notice the difference immediately, whether you’re browsing from your desk or catching up on the move.

Of course, the new website is not just for our readers. It also creates fresh opportunities for our partners and advertisers to engage with the growing Electronic Specifier community. With updated display formats, clearer positioning, and improved analytics, we are able to offer innovative ways to connect with engineers while ensuring that advertising complements, rather than interrupts, the reader experience. It’s about building relationships that work for everyone.

This launch also reflects our broader commitment to digital-first publishing. The way engineers access information has changed dramatically over the past decade, and we have adapted with it. Today, you can choose how you want to stay informed: read, listen, or watch. Our new platform brings all of that together, allowing us to serve you in a more direct and accessible way.

We see this as an important step forward, and one that will help us continue to play our role as a trusted source of knowledge within the global electronics industry. I hope you will take some time to explore the site and let us know what you think. We are proud of what we’ve built, but ultimately, this platform is for you.
